Memberships & benefits

What is EMS360?

EMS360 offers memberships that address eligible out-of-pocket emergency ambulance expenses. Choose Ground, Air, or Ground + Air, and review the Membership Agreement for the complete terms.

Is EMS360 insurance?

No. An EMS360 membership is not insurance and does not replace your health insurance. It addresses a specific financial gap for eligible emergency ambulance transportation.

What is the difference between Ground, Air, and Ground + Air?

Ground includes the emergency ground ambulance benefit. Air includes the emergency air ambulance benefit, including eligible helicopter and fixed-wing transport. Ground + Air combines those two benefits in one membership.

Which out-of-pocket costs can be included?

Eligible costs can include the selected benefit’s deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. The Ground benefit can also address eligible ground balance bills where legally permitted. All expenses and events must qualify under the Membership Agreement.

Do I need to use a specific ambulance provider?

No. The selected emergency transport benefit does not require a particular ambulance provider or membership network. The event, destination, and expenses must still meet membership terms.

Does the No Surprises Act mean I no longer need to think about ambulance costs?

The law protects many covered air ambulance services from out-of-network balance billing, but in-network cost sharing can remain. Ground ambulances generally fall outside federal balance billing protections, while some state protections may apply. Medicare and other public programs have different rules.

Does a membership cover travel assistance or non-emergency transfers?

These three products focus on emergency ambulance transportation. Elective recovery transfers, visitor travel, home-return travel, vehicle or pet return, organ transport, and other travel assistance benefits are not included.

Where do membership benefits apply?

These plans provide nationwide U.S. emergency ambulance benefits, subject to membership terms. State residency eligibility for purchase is a separate question and must be reviewed before enrollment.

What if I have Medicare or supplemental coverage?

Review your actual coverage first. Original Medicare Part B generally has 20% coinsurance for covered ambulance services after the deductible, and supplemental insurance may reduce your responsibility. Medicare Advantage benefits and cost sharing depend on the plan.

Covered people

Who is included in Individual coverage?

Individual coverage includes you, the named member.

Who is included in Family coverage?

Family includes you, your spouse, and your dependent children under age 26, subject to the Membership Agreement.

Who is included in Household coverage?

Household includes everyone eligible under Family, plus up to three additional individuals who live full time at your address. Covered people must be listed on the membership roster.

What information do I need for covered people?

Have each person’s first name, last name, and date of birth ready. Additional household members must meet the full-time residency requirement. Use the member portal to keep your roster accurate.

Is someone automatically covered because they live with me?

No. Living at the same address does not automatically place someone on a membership. Choose the appropriate coverage type, list each eligible person, and review the Membership Agreement’s conditions.

Enrollment, billing & changes

When does my membership become effective?

Benefits become effective immediately after successful enrollment payment, with no waiting period. Events before your membership’s effective date are not covered.

Can I pay monthly or annually?

Yes. Each product and coverage choice offers monthly and annual billing. Annual prices are set separately for each plan. Compare the annual total with 12 monthly payments; the plan cards show any savings or additional cost for your selection.

Will my membership renew automatically?

Yes. Your plan renews automatically on the selected schedule unless cancelled before renewal.

When does a cancellation take effect?

Cancellation takes effect at the upcoming renewal. Benefits continue through the paid membership term, subject to the Membership Agreement. Cancel before renewal to avoid renewing for another term.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds require special approval. Do not assume that cancelling creates a refund for the unused part of a paid term.

How do upgrades and downgrades work?

Eligible upgrades take effect immediately after payment, with a prorated credit for unused value from the previous product. The upgrade date becomes your new effective and renewal date. Downgrades take effect at renewal. Review the available change and its timing in the member portal.

What happens if a renewal payment fails?

There is a 30-day grace period for a failed renewal payment. Update the payment information promptly; a grace period does not forgive the payment or permanently extend an unpaid membership.

Can I complete enrollment now?

The website and checkout currently provide an enrollment preview. Payments remain disabled while enrollment requirements are finalized. No charge or active membership is created by browsing or choosing an option in preview mode.

Emergencies, claims & your portal

Should I call EMS360 before calling 911?

No. In a medical emergency, call 911 immediately and follow the emergency professionals’ guidance. EMS360 is not an ambulance operator or emergency dispatcher.

How do I submit an ambulance bill?

Sign in to the member portal, open the claims section, describe the transport, and upload the ambulance invoice, insurance EOB or decision, and supporting information. Refer to the Membership Agreement for exact documents and deadlines.

What is an explanation of benefits?

An EOB is your health plan’s explanation of how it processed a claim. It may show the allowed amount, insurer payment, and patient cost sharing. It is not itself the ambulance provider’s bill.

What if my health insurer denies the claim?

Submit the ambulance bill, insurance decision, and supporting information for review. An insurer’s denial does not automatically approve or deny your EMS360 claim; eligibility is determined under the Membership Agreement.

Is every submitted claim automatically paid?

No. EMS360 reviews claims for eligibility under the selected product and Membership Agreement. It may need additional documents before making a decision.

What if I have already paid the ambulance provider?

Keep the provider invoice and proof of payment. Submit them with the insurance decision and explain that you have already paid. The Membership Agreement governs any eligible reimbursement.

What can I do in the member portal?

Review membership details, manage covered people, access plan documents, submit claims, follow claim updates, and review available billing changes. Sign in with the account associated with your membership.

Where is the administrator portal?

The administrator portal is linked in the website footer. It is intended for authorized EMS360 staff; the link does not grant administrator access. Open Admin Portal.
