Deductibles, copays & coinsurance
Your ambulance deductible, a fixed copay, or a percentage of approved charges can leave a balance—even when your insurer covers the ride.
EMERGENCY AMBULANCE MEMBERSHIPS
Ground and air ambulance memberships for the costs health insurance may leave behind. EMS360 covers eligible ambulance deductibles, copays, and coinsurance—so an emergency ride doesn’t become a financial emergency.

THE INSURANCE GAP
What you pay for an ambulance ride depends on your health plan, the transport, and billing protections. Insurance may only cover a small portion of the service while leaving deductibles, copays, or coinsurance for you to pay.
Your ambulance deductible, a fixed copay, or a percentage of approved charges can leave a balance—even when your insurer covers the ride.
Getting emergency care comes first. The responding ground or air ambulance may be out of network, and you may have little choice about the provider.
The federal No Surprises Act generally excludes ground ambulances; state protections vary. It protects many covered air ambulance rides from balance billing, but in-network cost sharing can remain.
A denied ambulance claim or a payment below billed charges can leave an unexpected balance. Review your explanation of benefits and available appeal or billing protections. Learn what to do after an ambulance claim denial.
Enter a bill, then compare your estimated balance with and without EMS360.
EMS360 eliminates eligible out-of-pocket costs under your selected emergency ambulance benefit.
Illustrative example; not a quote or claim decision. Assumes your insurer approves the full ambulance bill and coinsurance applies after the deductible. The EMS360 option assumes an active membership and an eligible emergency ambulance expense. Copays, denied charges, and legally permitted balance bills are not included in this calculation. Actual insurance payment and benefits depend on your coverage, applicable law, and Membership Agreement.

No. EMS360 offers emergency ambulance memberships. A membership supplements your financial protection and does not replace health insurance.
For many insured patients, federal law protects covered air ambulance rides from out-of-network balance billing. In-network deductibles, copays, and coinsurance can still apply. Ground ambulance rides generally fall outside those federal protections, although state protections may apply. Medicare and other public programs have their own rules.
Ground includes the emergency ground ambulance benefit. Air includes the emergency air ambulance benefit. Ground + Air combines both. These memberships do not include elective transfers, recovery travel, visitor travel, vehicle or pet return, or other travel assistance benefits.
No. The selected emergency transport benefit is not tied to a particular ambulance provider or membership network. Your claim still needs to meet the EMS360 Membership Agreement’s terms.
Your membership becomes effective immediately after successful enrollment payment. There is no waiting period. Events occurring before your membership becomes effective are not covered.
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. A cancellation takes effect at the upcoming renewal; benefits continue through the paid membership term. Refunds require special approval. A failed renewal payment has a 30-day grace period.
